Musicians are often questioned with who sparked off their creative output in typical  interviews. ‘Who inspired you?’ and ‘What bands influenced this album?’ are constantly repeated from band to band. Usually, we are more curious about their recent release or upcoming gigs, however, their answers can set your ears alight with blazing inspirational similar music.

Bowie’s voice is smothered in a strong London accent, glorious in comparasion with almost American sounding modern english vocalists today. Instantly recognisable with the combination of intelligent lyrics.

Mr Bowie is difficult to place within bounds of genre, stretching over the means of rock, pop and soul.

Obviously the above quote is subjective to opinion but David Bowie is an definite symbol of incredible sound. Three renowned artists that list Bowie as their hero are; Lady GaGa (Clearly shown by her early lightning bolt make up!), Devon rockers Muse (Frontman Matt Bellamy has previously stated) and grunge icons Nirvana who famously covered ‘The Man Who Sold The World’ in 1993 in a MTV unplugged session.

DJ Stuart Price also works under the name of ‘Thin White Duke’, a prevous persona of Bowie.
